Southwestern artist, John Bader is a nationally recognized for his award winning "Mixed Media" art work. Being a featured artist in several national publications for his use of modern technology and prehistoric designs, John's art is outstanding in a class by itself. He has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Nebraska.
John developed a uniqe blend of composit materials that gives a three-dimensional effect that allows the viewer the opportunity to feel as though they are "Walking into the artwork itself."
Each hand-crafted original art piece begins with John's use of a high density polyurthane modeling clay. The piece is then cast in cotton linters (papers) and a special blend of composit materials, John personally developed, is applied over the casting giving it added depth and texture with a realistic effect. To add to the three- dimensional effect, John hand paints the piece with acrylic paints. He then adds the final touches, ladders, doors or Saguaro cactus.
John also produces a wonderful line of petroglyphs that are hand sculpted and cast in his special blend of composit material. Each Petroglyph is hand painted and uniquely designed to be used indoors and strong enoght to be used outdoors as well.
